A Day in My Life

Hey, guys! Hope you all are having a great week so far! I can't believe August is almost over and summer will be gone before we know it. Super crazy!

Today, I want to share with you guys how my normal day usually is. It can be crazy and nonstop and other days it's super planned out and organized. Either way, I'm grateful to see another day. As you may or may not know, I run a martial arts school. It’s a huge part of my life that I'm consistently working on.
Yes, so the first thing I do in a day is I wake up to make my bed and then go straight to the bathroom to wash my face. Washing my face is literally the best thing for me to do every morning because I'm so tired or I just don't feel like getting out of bed and once I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth and wash my face I feel so alert. There are times when I'm in bed and I'm like OK I'm gonna go to the bathroom and I'm going to go back to bed once I wash my face. After washing my face, I literally don't end up going back to bed. It's pretty awesome, I guess!

The second thing I get done is reading the Bible verse of the day and I also pray. Then, I have a conference meeting every morning at 9 AM with my martial arts team. So I am up every day at 8:30 AM and immediately jump in and get ready to conquer my day!

Once my conference a phone call is done, I jump right into my paperwork and administration work for the business. The funny thing about this is that this is my favorite part of my business - I enjoy it more compared to everything else I do. I'm sure you're thinking it's weird because the marshland is all about moving being active and nonstop, but I would surprisingly rather just sit on a computer and do administrative work.

After my administration work is complete, it’s already time to have a healthy lunch - at this point, I am typically a couple hours into the work day. During my lunch, I confirm all my appointments that I have for the evening. The evening time is when I have my classes that I teach at the school that I run. This is also my favorite time of the day because it's more down time compared to the next few hours where I will be teaching. I get to organize and re-assess how my day is going and I start looking at how the rest of the evening will go. I also look at how my morning was - I take in consideration how productive I was, what I missed and why I need to do to carry-on for the next morning. I then close my afternoon gap with my fashion blog! I look at emails, look at what brands I need to do posts for, and I work on my Instagram. Currently, I am working on starting to try to post around three or four o’clock everyday or every other day to try and post 3 to 4 times a week. This takes a lot of work!

One hard thing about running a blog and living such an active lifestyle + working is that there is no time to work on my search engine optimization and no time to promote my business online. I am sure a lot of business owners and bloggers run into this because it is so hard to balance everything! This is where SEO Company NJ, NJ SEO can come in and help you out. My final part of the day is going to my school like I said in the beginning and doing classes + teaching my classes. I might have three or four classes each day starting from 5 and going until 9 o'clock at night.  I look forward to this part of the day because I am very social - I am constantly surrounded by people, so you have to be for the job. It is fun, though! I'm a 3rd° black belt and I train Shotokan karate, kickboxing, and Krav Maga, so it really is fun and I always have a great time teaching. I work with kids from the age of three years old to adults of even seventy years old, so it’s a big math loop of different ages that I get to connect with on a daily basis!

Once my day is done at the school, I go home and chill out for a couple hours because I typically have a lot of energy at the end of night - that’s what being so active does to you! When I train, something happens and I am just always so wide awake. Cooling down before bed helps me sleep so that I can get ready for the next morning of go, go, go.

As you can see, my day is pretty packed. Nothing ever goes as planned most of the time because #life, but my hope is that you enjoy this day and I look forward to sharing more on my martial arts journey! I hope you enjoyed this post and if you have any questions, please comment below! Have a wonderful day guys and I can't wait to you I post again!

  1. Wow, we both have schools! I run a daycare so my day gets pretty hectic as well! Even with the daycare there is still a lot of administrative work to be done. But as you said, if you love it, you'll get it done!
    Thanks for sharing!

  2. I am the same at finding the time to work on my SEO and other blog admin task due to working. I do like how you have slotted in reading from the bible each day. I have been feeling a little bereft of late for not attending my church as i should but think i am going to slot in taking 15 minutes each day to read when time is too tight

  3. I can't believe summer is almost over. I pray every morning too :) You def get a lot done in a day. My day is pretty similar. I get up, brush my teeth, wash my face, pray, eat p breakfast and then get my day started. My to do list varies everyday and that's how i like it . I close the day by going to the gym . I might watch an episode or two and then its lights out.
