Spring is approaching. Kind of

Spring is approaching and I couldn't be more happier. The only thing is New Jersey weather has been such a tease. One day it's in the amazing 70 degree weather and the next it's the usual cold 34 degree weather. How horrible?!
But I have to admit, I have been embracing the warm weather days as much as I can. It's also has inspired me to wear this outfit. I'm not the usual to wear light shade of clothing. I'm more into the dark shades. With beautiful weather I decided to wear a simple white tee, white pants, and finish off with a plaid shirt. Details below, let me know what you think. :)

I need to start of by saying thank you to everybody who has said happy birthday to me. It means so much! I enjoyed my 21st birthday with lots of love and wonderful memories I will cherish.

Today I'm sharing my outfit that I wore to celebrate my birthday. This Maroon sweater I am wearing is very simple and I wanted to pair it with my over the knee boots that I just purchased. They were only $25!! Can't beat that and they are super comfortable. Take a look at this outfit and find out where you can get boots on sale now.

21 Things I've Learned

I can't believe I'm turning 21 tomorrow! What the heck?! I'm super blessed to be honest and of course I'm excited! Life has been great with beautiful things and not so beautiful things but everything has turned out to making me stronger. Thank you God. So on my 19th birthday, I posted on social media 19 things that you may or may not know about me. I look back and realize almost everything is the same. But when it comes to life lessons and things I've learned my list keeps growing. (of course if I'm personally growing) As I wrote this list, I've noticed how much I learned thru the years and just thinking how much more I will be learning. It was a great exercise I did and I wanted to share with you another part of me. 😊

I have learned ......
1. No matter the amount of burgers I eat. I will never get tired of them.
2. I can't make everyone happy nor can I be everything to everyone.
3. God always has my back.
4. Self love is so important.
5. I still don't like roller coasters.
6. Reading a book or a story always inspires me somehow.
7. There's always two sides to a story.
8. Family will always be my number one support.
9. Watching and listening to people you can learn so much.
10. Trying new food will not kill me.
11. Online shopping is so much better and easier.
12. Every hardship or challenge I go through, there's always a lesson I can learn.
13. Training and teaching martial arts has helped shaped me into the person I have become. (very grateful)
14. I'm addicted to White Chocolate Mochas from Starbucks.
15. I need to be more patient sometimes.
16. Making excuses keeps me in the same place.
17. I have an issue with putting mascara on my bottom lashes.
18. Getting feedback has always helped me grow.
19. I dislike the gym.
20. At the end of the day, only I can make things happen for myself.
21. Time doesn't stop. I can't believe my 21st birthday is tomorrow. Crazy!

Thanks for reading!

Cropped Sweatshirt

Happy Wednesday! Hope everybody is having a fantastic week so far! This past weekend I went into New York City. It was freezing!! I mean it wasn't that cold but what I was wearing didn't help. I wore a short dress with knee high boots. It doesn't sound so bad but I was super uncomfortable with the weather.
So you know what I did ?!?!
I found the closest clothing store which was H&M and bought an entirely different outfit. Except for the boots. Thank God I was in the city, it was very easy to find a store.
This cropped sweatshirt I'm sharing with you, I fell in love with. It's actually my first cropped sweatshirt I've ever brought and actually very happy with the way it was fitting on me.
All this to tell you, in my opinion, it's very important to be comfortable & confident in what you wear.
Take a look at this simple outfit I put together in a matter of minutes!!
